HADD-ADHD Ireland and UCD are launching an exciting new research project for Children currently in 3rd, 4th or 5th Class.
What is this research about?
This pilot study will integrate existing digital solutions that have shown to support teachers in the classroom and parents at home with students who have ADHD and will deliver an Augmented Reality (AR) solution for an existing on line literacy programme. We hope this will enable students with ADHD to stay focused, make fewer mistakes and to finish assignments at school as well as homework.
Who is doing this research?
This is a European project coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Eleni Mangina, from the School of Computer Science in UCD, and will work closely with HADD-ADHD Ireland, WordsWorth Learning (Ireland) and Consiglio Nazionale Delle Ricerche (Italy).
What are the benefits of taking part in this research?
Your participation in this pilot project will help us develop new technologies and digital tools in education – Technologies and tools for children and young people with ADHD.
All students participating in this project will have:
• Free pre and post literacy assessment from an experienced Speech & Language Therapist. We will come to your area to do the assessment.
• Free access to WWL (Words Worth Learning) web literacy programme licence
• Access to HADD-ADHD Ireland facilities
• Access to an international network of experts involved with research on ADHD
